Dragonfly Heaven

Dragonfly Heaven was inspired by a moment of quiet magic during a walk through the waterfalls of Mount Tamborine in Queensland.

While hiking toward the rock pools, a blue dragonfly drifted down to the water’s edge for a drink, its wings glistening in the sunlight. The moment felt intentional — brief, luminous, and impossible to ignore. I instinctively reached for my camera, knowing it was something to be remembered.

Dragonflies symbolise transformation, lightness of being, and the courage to step into change. For me, this encounter felt like a message — an invitation to trust intuition and begin a new creative chapter. This painting marks the beginning of my journey into abstract realism, where emotion, colour, and form began to move more freely.

Pink roses appear as a personal signature — a symbol of love, softness, and beauty. They ground the work emotionally, balancing transformation with tenderness.

This piece is about listening — to nature, to intuition, and to the quiet signs that guide us forward.
