About Me
Welcome to My Studio
My journey has always been one of passion, creativity, and heart. As an only child, I found my joy in movement and music—beginning dance at just three years old and soon stepping into competitions, stages, and bright lights. From highland dance and ballet, to jazz, tap, and later ballroom dancing across Australia, every step was an expression of love and beauty. Musical theatre and choir performances gave me yet another stage to sing and dance and share my heart.
Even before I could dance, I was enchanted by the simple magic of a pencil and paper. My mother would often smile and say that if she placed them in my hands, I would disappear into a world of imagination for hours. From those early days, I was recognised as a natural talent—able to capture perspective and portraiture, as if the faces and forms were whispering their stories through my hand onto the page.
At eleven, life carried me to the Riverina NSW Australia, where my parents returned to their roots and the family motorbike business. My dreams of dress design or graphic art were paused when higher education was out of reach, and instead I found myself styling hair, bringing beauty into the everyday. Marriage brought me to Queensland in 1982, where I have lived ever since.
But everything changed when a motorbike accident at twenty-three took away my ability to dance. Heartbroken, I needed another outlet for expression. After welcoming two of my three sons, I discovered painting—and in that moment, a new love story began. My studio became my sanctuary, a place where colours sang and the canvas listened.
Though my life’s love story unfolded differently than I once dreamed, and I raised my boys as a single mum, my heart sings when I paint. Along with meditation, art has become my solace. I now pour all the love and light I carry in my heart into every canvas, trusting that each piece will find its forever home where it can continue to inspire and uplift.
Over the years I explored many creative loves: macramé weaves, Swarovski crystal art, miniature sculptures, and teaching joyful workshops in the library where I watched others light up through creation. Each was a way of infusing more beauty, more sparkle, more love into the world.
In 2024, I chose to dedicate myself fully to my art, committing to master my craft and live as a professional artist. My inspirations are as colourful and vibrant as my life: the passion of Broadway, the grace of dance, the beauty of the human form, the sparkle of bling, the juicy pinks and reds I adore, and the endless blues of the Gold Coast skies and seas. And always, the eyes—because they are the windows of the soul.
Every day I continue to learn and grow, completing a Mastery Certificate with the Milan Art Institute and the Breath, Brush, Begin course with the extraordinary Anna Razumovskaya. And of course I continue to consult my Aussie mentor and friend Donald James Waters AOM. Like my beloved Monet and Van Gogh, I chase light, colour, and emotion on the canvas.
This studio is my heart, wide open. Each artwork is created to stir something within you—to move you the way dance once moved me, to spark joy, to connect us on a soul-deep level. Here, beauty is not decoration. It is devotion.
